Twenty-five Libyan former revolutionary brigadesmen started a ten-day course in police and security training in Kosovo on Monday.

The 25, now working with the Interior Ministry’s Supreme Security Committee, were selected from all over the country. They are joined by three policemen who have also been sent on the course.

The stay in Kosovo is being funded by a grant form the Board of Veterans.

Just before they left, the director general of the board, Mustafa Sagezli, met with the group and encouraged them to positively represent Libya.

During his talk, Sagezli also gave an overview of the board and its future plans.

Another official, Mohammed Zarouq, advised the men of the need to uphold Islamic tolerance and keep away from extremism and fanaticism.

The Veterans’ Board is planning to send groups of former revolutionaries to several Arab and European countries for training on various aspects of security. In this case, Kosovo was chosen for the training because of its experience in the rehabilitation of combatants following the country’s liberation war.
