Due to pandemics, many businesses have terminated their employment contracts.
According to the Private Sector Workers’ Union, the number of those who have lost their jobs is over 30,000, reports KTV.
Those who have lost their jobs during this time are not even able to receive the compensation of 130 euros as provided by the Emergency Package.
This is because companies are refusing to submit a request to the Tax Administration of Kosovo, says Jusuf Azemi, chairman of the Trade Union of Private Sector Workers.
However, in TAK, since March, over 1600 applications have been submitted for people who have lost their jobs.
According to point eight of the Emergency Package, all those whose employment is terminated during the pandemic are compensated with 130 euros each for the months of April, May and June.
Such a thing has not happened yet, but the Ministry of Finance and Transfers has said that this is expected to be completed in the coming days.
