President Hashim Thaçi has said that the arguments that Parliament Speaker Vjosa Osmani has brought to the Constitutional Court make him believe that his decision to decree Avdullah Hoti as a mandate for the formation of the new government was right.
Thaçi said that whenever Osmani sent comments against him to the Constitutional Court, in the end the decision favoured him.
“It simply came to my notice then. From the comments sent by the Speaker of the Assembly, I began to believe even more strongly that I was right, that whenever she sent comments in positions that we had contested in the Constitutional Court, the decision has always been right for the President “He said.
He also recalled the cases when Vjosa Osmani sent comments to the Constitutional Court, describing her approach as unprofessional.
“Whether earlier as prime minister, even in 2010, as it was in 2014, and even later when I was elected president, he gave his comments. So, these comments of hers or counter-arguments to my decision will turn into arguments for the decision for me. Because the market has always had an unprofessional approach, despite being called as a lawyer. I’m not saying this just for fun, but I really believe more in the fairness of my decision since that day “, he said.
As early as Friday, the Constitutional Court will announce and publish the verdict on the most controversial case in the country.
