The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, has said that the action of Pristina is unacceptable for Serbia, which has banned the entry of goods from Serbia without documents, which reads “Republic of Kosovo”.
He added that “we do not intend to continue the dialogue without removing these measures,” RTS reported.
Yesterday, Pristina stopped the import of goods from Serbia without documents, which reads “Republic of Kosovo”, which Ivica Dacic considers a worse measure than the 100% tax on Serbian goods, KOHA reports.
“These are reciprocity measures for which neither the citizens of Serbia nor the international community have agreed, just like the tax, which had doubled the price of goods, but at least circulated. The government in Pristina has taken a decision on reciprocity measures, a step which was welcomed by some countries. While we immediately said that this is unacceptable “, added the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.
Accepting these measures, according to him, would mean that Serbia is accepting Kosovo.
“We do not intend to continue the dialogue until taxes and reciprocity are removed. For us this is unacceptable, and denies all agreements. We rightly expect the reaction of the international community. “Richard Grenell has previously reacted to this issue and said that the imposition of reciprocity measures is a game with the decision to abolish taxes,” he added.
According to him, the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade is now in the air, KOHA reports.
“There is no dialogue, and in this whole situation many international factors have tried to hold talks on artificial respiration such as Merkel and Macron, while the approach of the US administration is different from the approach of Biden and Hillary Clinton,” Dacic said.
“Prishtina, as a lazy child”
Commenting on the new government to be formed in Pristina, Dacic said that these are things that Belgrade can neither want nor want to interfere with.
“Any government,” he said, “needs to be clear about whether or not to keep the agreement.” They are all the same, “Dacic said. “They want Kosovo’s independence, they want Serbia to accept it, but this is not dialogue and we will not accept that. They don’t understand that things have changed, they expect the international community to bring everything to them. ”
He went on to say that Pristina is behaving like a lazy child who is used to the international community fulfilling all his wishes.
“It simply came to our notice then. And it depends on how stable and strong Serbia will be, and our position is extremely strong. Nothing comes into consideration without removing reciprocity. Serbia will not accept Kosovo, but wants dialogue and compromise. “If they think that a compromise means that Serbia will accept Kosovo, that will not happen,” Dacic said.
