BELGRADE AND WASHINGTON WILL HAVE THE MAIN SPEECH: The Government of Kosovo is again in the hands of Serbs, Albanians on their knees!

One month after the overthrow of the government of temporary institutions led by Albin Kurti, the government in Kosovo gained a new majority led by Isa Mustafa and Ramush Haradinaj. Their partner will also be the Serbian List, so all decisions will depend on the votes of Serbs. The question is whether the new government is in accordance with the constitution and whether it will survive, because it does not have full legitimacy.

Necmedin Spahiu, a political scientist from Kosovo, says there is a big difference between the previous and this government.

Unlike the previous one, this government will depend on the Serbian list. Which means that whenever the Serbian List does not trust, this government can fall. This was not the case with the previous government, which did not depend on Serb votes. Secondly, in this government, the Serbian List managed to have a deputy prime minister and made an effort for the Serbian community to have positions at any level – says Spahiu.

All decisions of the new government will depend on the Serbs

The Srpska list, he adds, wants to occupy all positions in this way and not have any opposition votes in its ranks. Asked whether the role of Srpska in the new government of the provisional institutions of Kosovo will speed up the process of negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina and the abolition of taxes, Spahiu said:

– Fees have already been abolished, such a decision has already been made in the previous government. The reciprocity measures were just an empty decision, because they should have been defined later, when the negotiations started, but there was nothing of that and it was actually just one empty word.

Spahiu believes that negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina will continue, but that the Americans will have the main role.

– Essentially, these are in fact negotiations between Belgrade and Washington, and everything else is a mere formality. If someone in Pristina wants to enter the game, as Albin Kurti wanted, he, like Kurti, will be thrown out of the game – concludes Spahiu.

Stefan Filipovic, a political scientist from Kosovo and Metohija, believes that this government of temporary Pristina institutions will be short-lived.

– This government is a kind of transitional technical government until new elections, because only as such can it have legitimacy. For every other more serious political story, this government will not have full democratic capacity. I expect that the Self-Determination movement will point out the illegitimacy and undemocratic nature of this government and that it will try to challenge its legality – Filipović is convinced.

He believes that at some point there will be a political consensus to go to the polls, and that, as he says, faster than we think.

Even yesterday, Kadri Veselji officially stated that after the end of the pandemic, Kosovo will have new elections and in general, PDK indicates that they are not very interested in this new government, that they will support LDK, but that it is a temporary solution until new elections – he states Filipović.

Filipovic expects Kurti to act as an angry opposition until there are new elections. As for negotiations with Belgrade, Filipovic believes that everything will wait for the elections in Belgrade to end.

Negotiations, but only technically

Some negotiations can be initiated, but not serious ones, because Belgrade is also in the gap between the pandemic and the elections, so only some technical negotiations can happen as a sign of good will – he is convinced.

The President of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, stated that all details of the agreement of the new government of the temporary Priptin institutions have been agreed, and that the agreement for the future government should be signed by the parties Bexheti Pacolli, Fatmir Limaj, Srpska lista and minorities. coalitions.

According to the Pristina media in the Albanian language, in addition to the continuation of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, ie the efforts of Kosovo institutions in the fight against the spread of the corona virus, the text of the signed agreement states that Kosovo’s goal is membership in UN, EU, NATO and other international countries. organisations.
