Vucic: There may be a final agreement tomorrow, but I will not sign the recognition of Kosovo
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vuiqi., Stated tonight in Washington, after talks with the representatives of Kosovo and the cabinet of the American President, Donald Trump, that he could not accept the document that contained a provision for mutual recognition of Serbia and Kosovo.
“The first document we had was entitled Economic Normalization. Both parties came and the host party shared a document with us of which our party had no knowledge. That letter was extremely difficult, had 15 or 16 points, and one of them was mutually exclusive. I refused. It is nothing new, the only thing we thought was that it would not stand in the document for economic stabilization. The Trump cabinet was fair and obedient. “In other documents, this provision is no longer there,” Vucic initially said.
There are different political moments, Vucic believes, and he declares that the war is still going on. If there will be more agreements and meetings at a higher level – no one can say at the moment, he says.
Richard Grenell did not say specifically what he thought, says Vucic, saying that they really wanted to hear the Serbian side, reports b92, reports Telegrafi.
“We did not miss anything, for us it was an official surprise, but not essential”, he says.
“If we manage to push some other things, I will be satisfied. “Whether we will succeed or not – I can not say,” he added.
He told people in Serbia that he would not sign the recognition. “I said it out loud and clear,” he said.
The second round of negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina ended at the White House in Washington. Ivanka Trump, the daughter of the American president, who was present at all the important diplomatic meetings, in which her father, Donald Trump, was particularly interested, also joined the talks. / Telegraph /
