Former US envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Richard Grenell asked Blerim Vela, Vjosa Osmani’s chief of staff, if the Kosovo president supports the non-implementation of the agreement signed with Serbia in the US and the US pipeline project.
Grenell asked this question after Vela replied when he said that President Vjosa Osmani does not agree with Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
“So Vjosa Osmani now supports the rejection of Economic Agreements and the offer of a pipeline for clean energy?” Grenell asked.
Vela responded to Grenell’s retort again by telling him to “educate himself first.”
“Educate yourself first! Neither the president nor the government has ever refused a partnership with the US on clean energy. Stop the spread of false stories “, wrote Vela.
Vela previously said Grenell was lying.
“As head of the cabinet of President Vjosa Osmani, I want to inform that Richard Grenell is lying when referring to the statements of the President of the Republic of Kosovo”, wrote Vela.
Grenell said that the people of Kosovo have sent a strong message to the Prime Minister, Albin Kurti in the local elections. He wrote on Twitter that this message came after Kuri, according to him, rejected the US and because he did not respect the agreement signed with the US.
He further added that Vjosa Osmani has made it clear to America that he does not agree with Kurti.
“The people of Kosovo have sent a strong message to Albin Kurti that it is unacceptable to reject the US, clean renewable energy and Economic Normalization Agreements signed in the Oval Office. “Vjosa Osmani has made it clear to the United States that she does not agree with Kurti.” wrote Grenell.
