The Ministry of Internal Affairs, Transparent, Respect Human Rights and Equal Opportunities. To Ensure the implementation of the law.

This is stated on the Ministry's Website and it couldn't be further from the truth. This department has broken all the rules that it stands by. Not only has this department been taken to court once for not implementing the law, but they have now broken more of their rules as revenge on the person that took them to court.

Not only have they broken more of their own laws, but committed crimes against humanity, threats and corruption. This is. totally the opposite of what they stand for.

Just after the war on Kosovo Ms. A came to Kosovo to help the people of Kosovo, with a degree in Pharmacy she just wanted to what she could to help. She worked for several organisations and wanted to apply for citizenship, but to get citizenship she had to have a five year permanent residency card. Even though her colleagues were given 5yr cards under the same circumstances, she was only given 1yr residency cards. This was discrimination against her so she complained to the office of the Ombudsperson, that ordered that she should be granted the five year card she was entitled to. They discriminated on the fact that the country she was from does not recognise Kosovo. Why should she be punished for the government views of her country which she left. -Respect for diversity, human rights and equal opportunities.

Ms. A then through UN and Kfor worked as a translator for the Afghan refugees. She then had the opportunity do do a nursing degree, that she had tried for years, to get into the course. She found it difficult to get on the course because this was an easy way out of the country for Kosovars. Every person on the course intended to go and work in German on completion of the degree. Ms. A was the only person that wanted to stay and work in a Kosovo hospital.

The course took 3yrs and on completion Ms. A then applied for citizenship as the department had told her she could after having a 5yr permanent residency card. Ms A was waiting for her diploma to come through, so that she could start her 6month unpaid practical in a hospital.

Ms. A was then called to the Ministry for what she thought to do a citizenship test, but when she arrived she found out that it was not. In fact they took her residency card from her that still has 1yr remaining and told her that the citizenship application had been revoked. She was held for 5hrs and they told her that she would be instantly deported.

She called a lawyer, that left again after speaking to the officials. She then called another lawyer who ignored whatever the officials said to him and told them she will fight against deportation as she was following the law and done nothing wrong. Then it became clear that the department were taking revenge, over the fact that Ms A had taken the department to court for not following the law. -To ensure the implementation of the law,

They then demanded she hand over her passport and they put her in detention after taking her money, bankcards and jewellery. She told them she needed to collect her diploma but they laughed at her and told her she was finished in Kosovo.

The very next day the department contacted the media and put out a fake story slandering Ms. A to cover their backs of why they have detained her, even though she had not been charged with anything. She was also told she would have to pay 40 euros a day to stay there. This breaks their rule on -Respect for diversity, human rights and equal opportunities.

Ms. A has been in detention now since the 6th November even though she has done nothing wrong and not charged with any crime. All she wanted was Kosovo citizenship so she could carry on helping the country, at a time when Kosovars are seeking asylum in other countries in Europe.

A man from the ministry Fitim Qerimi visited her and told her that she could by a plane ticket to leave the country. She told him she was not going to, because she had done nothing wrong and would see him in court. He told her that she would lose, because he would tell her lawyer what to say. Now that sounds like Corruption. He kept taunting here saying you know what you did. She told him she has done nothing.

This man needs to be in The Hague with Thaci charged with Crimes against Humanity. These men are doing this because their pride was hurt and they were caught out not following the law and found guilty in court.

This man is a criminal and is doing nothing to help his party win the next election. The government won the election on cracking down on corruption and these bad apples in this ministry will take their government down.

Ms. A has done so much for Kosovo that she deserves a Kosovo passport for her work. Instead she is treated like a criminal and her only crime is wanting to be a Kosovo citizen.

This is a black stain on the government and needs to be sorted out quickly. Ms. A now in detention over Christmas should be released immediately and the real criminals that did this should be arrested. Ms. A should not spend one more day in detention.
