US Interfering in Kosovo Elections - Donald Trump’s son reposts Grenell’s attack on Kurti on X

POLITICS

The son of the former U.S. president, Donald Trump Jr., has reposted on platform X a statement by Trump administration official Richard Grenell, who two days ago harshly criticized Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti.

Donald Trump Jr. shared Grenell’s post, where he stated that the government led by Albin Kurti has not been trustworthy for the U.S., neither during Trump’s first term nor during Biden’s administration. He added that both Republicans and Democrats have continuously criticized Kurti for taking unilateral actions that destabilize the region.

“I have many friends in Kosovo and Albania… and many friends in Serbia and throughout the region. The Trump administration has worked and will continue to work toward peace for everyone in the Balkans. But we need reliable partners. The Kurti government was not trustworthy during Trump’s first term, nor during Biden’s administration. Both Republicans and Democrats have consistently criticized Kurti for taking unilateral actions that destabilize the region.

The EU and NATO have also done the same. The international community is united against Kurti. American companies are expanding in Albania and Serbia but are not expanding in Kosovo because of Kurti. Kurti has also opposed every American idea proposed by Presidents Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden, and Trump.

The rhetoric Kurti is using now, claiming to be close to the U.S. and better than all other Kosovo governments, is absolutely false. Do not be deceived,” wrote Grenell on X.
